What is yoga?

Today, most people think of yoga as a physical practice, but in its original state, “yoga” was never a practice, it described a state of consciousness of absolute unity that could originally be experienced through certain practices, and asana was just one of many, such as breath manipulation, concentration, sense withdrawal, mental attitude, etc.

There are many different schools and traditions, but at its core, Yoga is a complete openness to all that exists. It is about deep awareness and life lived in one of the innermost truths - the essence of essence - divine consciousness itself.

Yoga is primarily concerned with 'moksha' - liberation from all that you are not - such as the identification of body and mind that leads to mental suffering and our pain of separation from the dualistic view of the world, and 'bodhi' - awakening to your own true nature and heart, and understanding the nature of reality.

Of course, yoga can bring many benefits such as pleasure, strength, improved physical and mental health, especially when it comes to stress reduction, etc. But yoga is so much more. It is a way to open your True Heart and realize the phrase “Tat tvam asi” – “You are That”. All our lives we search for Truth and divine connection in different ways, and yes, even the word “yoga” can mean “union”, but more importantly, it is the realization that there is nothing to unite that is not already there. Tat tvam asi – You are That you seek.

Hatha yoga intermediate level

This course is designed to continue the first course, introducing more advanced pranayama techniques, more challenging asanas and a slightly faster pace. The level is intermediate, with classes lasting about 90 minutes. It is highly recommended to do the exercises in the morning if possible, or before meals, 2-3 times a week. Here you will also be introduced to a longer shavasana, a crucial element that allows you to truly relax and benefit from the practice. It is recommended to pay attention to whether you need a longer or shorter shavasana, but the practice, apart from working on all levels, is also designed to energetically allow you to experience a deeper relaxation, after which it is easier to access a calm mind.

Who is leading the direction?

Elizabeth Jordan

At the White Mirror school since 2020

Elizabeth began her journey to connect body, mind and heart through movement as a professional dancer and creative artist. Always interested in nature, energy work, psychology, science and ancient philosophy, yogic teachings and practices not only brought unification, deep healing, reconnection, learning and transformation, but also opened the door to expanded and more authentic dimensions of life, including the heart, feelings, intuition and soul through the learning journey itself.

She has conducted over 900 hours of various yoga teacher trainings, with a particular focus on Raja Yoga, Hatha Yoga and Tantra.

Her most influential teachers were Alexey Vyazovov, Christopher Wallis, Andrei Lappa, Kosta Miachin, Sofia Sundari and Michael Lazano.

She has taught and supported teacher trainings in Thailand and has worked as a yoga teacher in Europe and Asia. She is currently continuing her studies with her mentor, delving into advanced practices, and studying yoga philosophy at the Oxford Centre for Hindu Studies and classical tantric arts and sciences at the Instituto de Tantrika in Portugal.

In 2020, she started working with Valentin Voronin.

"I quickly became aware of the rare, immense, true wisdom of the experience and knowledge being transmitted, and my interest in combining yogic teachings and practices with his work grew."

Received attunements to Cosmoenergetics and Reiki.

“Seeing yoga as an embrace of all existence, uniting the highest wisdom with the highest compassion, I understand that collective awareness begins at the individual level, and by guiding students in their practice into pure presence, I seek to share the essence of yoga - the full unfoldment, awareness and expression of your true innermost Self.”

Why combine yoga with Valentin's practices?

Valentin's practices aim to achieve a healthy state of mind and body, which is also a by-product and a real secondary goal of yogic practices. If we consider yoga as a practice and not a state, asana and pranayama are used in a certain way to clear the energy channels in your body, which will make it easier to perform certain practices of the White Mirror School, as it develops natural sensitivity and awareness.

Yoga classes are tools and time to become familiar with your internal structure and to facilitate access to your central channel, to work with the different chakras and your auric field. It is a great way to center and balance yourself and to realize that our physical body contains much wisdom.

The ancient yogis considered the physical body to be the most tangible version of the mind, and understood that through the breath one could manipulate the state of the mind and body to one's advantage. And there are simple techniques that can be used in everyday life that are very compatible with Valentin's work and in some ways preparatory to it.

Any kind of energy practice will benefit from a clear body and a clear mind, and it will always be beneficial to keep the physical body strong and agile.

В любом случае, если этот импульс позитивный, он несет в себе знак «плюс» — нечто правильное, доброе, позитивное. Соответственно, импульс отрицательной системы всегда идет со знаком «минус». То есть, это уже не про идею и развитие.
