Why Is It Important to Shift Your Attention Backward During Meditation
Key areas like the legs, sacrum, coccyx, the back of the head, and the area just behind the head are
often neglected.
This neglect can lead to energy blockages, birth traumas, and other issues. The back of the head, in particular, is an area that many people have trouble with. Shifting your attention forward during meditation to observe yourself is possible, but only if you’ve developed a strong field structure and are aware of your energy body. When you reach this level of awareness, you can see yourself glowing, feel the energy in your hands, and observe yourself from every angle—inside, outside, and all around.
In terms of energy perception, the light that originates from your assemblage point behind you is projected forward through your personality, like a film unfolding in the material world. This projection of light and force from behind is what creates the reality we see in front of us.
When you become aware of this light, it’s as if a switch has been turned on in your mind, illuminating your inner world. This is what it means to be enlightened—when you close your eyes and still see light within. This effect may be temporary, but its presence indicates that a positive process has begun. You are free to explore any meditation technique, but I’m sharing my observations on the most effective way to cultivate self-awareness through observing your energy bodies.
The simplest approach is to connect with the source of your consciousness, which lies behind you. As Carlos Castaneda described, it is about an arm’s length behind the shoulder blades—perhaps a bit higher or lower. The key is to develop an awareness of this volume, to feel its presence with your skin. Changes in this energetic space are reflected in your physical body through real sensations.
By bringing your attention to this area, you can achieve a deeper understanding of yourself and experience the flow of energy that often goes unnoticed.
