How to find lightness in social situations

For some, the fear might be public speaking—blushing, stumbling over words, feeling heat pulsing in the head, or experiencing other overwhelming sensations. Others might struggle in different ways. Public speaking is one thing, but some people find it easy to speak to an audience yet struggle to express themselves clearly and assert their position one-on-one.
It’s precisely your fear, the one that feels the hardest to confront, that you need to face head-on.
Maybe you’re afraid to show your artwork because someone might criticize it. Maybe you’re scared to speak up because you fear being judged. Maybe you’re afraid of looking foolish, or something else entirely. The solution is to step directly into that situation.
This is a gift, friends. Let them laugh at you. Let yourself blush. You need to go through this experience!
I’m not saying that facing this once will make it go away immediately. Not necessarily. It might still linger for a while, and that’s normal.
Go through it twice, three times, or ten times—however many times it takes for you to feel and understand that you are a living person.
You have the right to make mistakes. You have the right to say the wrong thing. You have the right to stumble over your words, blush, turn pale, or even faint. Allow yourself to explore these feelings and realize that they are entirely normal and natural.
You simply need to accept that this happens, that you are a living person, and you have the right to these experiences. You have the right to make errors. You have the right to be wrong.
Once you accept this and relax about it—letting go of the tension around how you might appear to others—then so what? Understand this: so what!
Once you reach this point, you’ve taken the first step toward self-development and a deeper understanding of yourself. You’ve moved forward.
Light and Love 🙏💖
